Ok so it's hard to blog these days with arms full of baby and everything that comes along with that so if I try to write individual blogs about all the happenings over the past 6 weeks it will never happen and I will always be behind so you have already heard about the birth and her first 2 weeks well she will be 2 months on Saturday!! I can't believe it has gone by so fast so here are the last 6 weeks of our little girls life summed up in point form so we can remember and so you know how things are going. After that I hope to update as each event happens so we are all caught up and you are all in the loop:)
First of all our daughter is amazing, we love her so much!! So the past 6 weeks hopefully in order but I can't guarantee it:)
- Her weight has consistently gone up and last time we weighed her she was 10lbs 12 oz. That was about 2 weeks ago so she has her 2 month check up this Friday so we'll know her current weight then.
- She had her first bath, like full out in her little bath tub, on February 14, 2009 She loved it!! Loves the water doesn't cry she is just so good so now that I know she loves the water I can't wait to take her swimming. I bath her ever 3-4 days unless otherwise needed and like I said she always loves it!
- Had a small little scare with her on March 1st, I had a cold earlier in the week and tried my darnedest not to pass it on but she got it and it seemed to just stuff her nose a bit but on Sunday the 1st she sounded wheezy in her chest and seemed to be feeling worse so we took her to the ER at like 6am. They did a RSV test and chest X-ray and both were clear so she was totally fine just a little cold in her nose. We probably over reacted a little but we had 2 friends with kids who had RSV and although Olivia wasn't around them I wasn't taking any chances. She was so amazing, had a thermometer up her butt, water syringed in her nose, and x-ray where we had to hold her hands and feet down so she didn't move too much and she never cried once!! What a girl:)
- She sleeps well at night in her bassinet as she always has, she started out sleeping 3 hours at a time then it went to 4 and now she averages 5 hours at a time sometimes it will still be 3 then other it will be 6 so she does pretty well it usually is her going to bed at between 8-10 depending on her mood and then up between 2 and 4 then up again between 7 and 9. Every once and a while she will even go back at 9 and sleep till 11!! So sleeping is good and Angel still does the 1 middle of the night feed, so I am a lucky girl:)
- She went to her first birthday party for friends of our that have twins who turned 2 and she was so cute I dressed her up a bit and put a bow on her head, silly Mommy. The twins call her baby liva or something close to that and they are so sweet with her. We had fun at the party although she slept alot but it was her first party so lots of fun!!
- We take her out lots, we go to friends houses, our group of friends had babies all close together,Leanna had Kayla on the 5th I think, Ambritt had Kameron on the 11th we had Olivia the 14th then Kim had Luke on Feb 9th so we get together with them sometimes. We go to the mall, wlamart, costco, fred meyer, small group, church and I am hoping to start going to Wednesday morning bible study and story time at the library once a week. We'll see how it all works out but she loves her car seat and sleeps when we drive and she loves the stroller and being out so that's awesome cause I love getting out too!!
- She went to Sumas and met up with Uncle Vince and had lunch with him a couple weeks ago, that was great Vince hadn't seen her since the day she was born and we hadn't seen him since then either so we were missing him and met him in Sumas, he just walks across the border from Canada as his house in on the border between the U.S. and Canada. Enjoyed our visit with him and he sure does love his niece:)
- One of the girls from our birthing class gave our names to a photographer who was trying to build her portfolio of baby pictures so she came to our house and shot some pictures of Olivia for free!! They are gorgeous and we got a cd of them so now we can print out the ones we want!!
So I am pretty sure that is all the highlights from the past 6 weeks, so much fun having this little girl here and she is so amazingly good we feel totally blessed. As for Angel and I we are good, I had that cold but am better now Angel has it so he hasn't been able to do alot with Olivia since Sunday which he hates but he doesn't want her getting it again. He is working hard and will go back to school in the fall. I am great love being a stay at home Mom. Not heading back to auditioning again yet need more time with her so we'll see when I feel ready to get back to work for now I just love being at home with her and spending time as a family.
I am attaching some pictures of the milestones etc. Enjoy!!

I hate it when babies get sick - especially your first. It always scared the living crap out of us and I could never decide if I was an overreactive parent by taking him in or a neglectful parent by not. XD Glad all's well, though - 'tis the season for icky colds! Hope Angel feels better soon.
I LOVE her eyes - actually, I take that back, I love everything about her! It's hard not to when she's such a doll! And check this out: we have the same bassinette, baby bath tub, and duckie robe! Only, we never really got to use the bassinette because SOMEBODY is not a good sleeper. :P
I'm soooo glad things are going well. The time flies like nobody's business, but it seems like you two have gotten into the swing of parenting so very easily! Woohoo!
Olivia is so beautiful! Can't wait to get together again this summer! God Bless!
She is so adorable!! You definately made a beautiful baby! I am sorry to hear she had a cold but so glad it was nothing serious.
Thanks for sharing!
She is absolutely incredible. I am so sad we haven't been able to see each other in person yet. I'm still in school full time until July and now I'm working 40 hours a week too (at two different jobs). Plus, on February 9th, we got our new little family members. They are 17 months and 4 1/2 years old. I really would love to get together sometime and lay my eyes on the beautiful baby girl. I am so excited for you guys!
I'm so lame, Anonymous above is me, Ms. Angel.
