Easter Update And Other Stuff

The Domingo family had an awesome Easter, Praise Jesus!! What a great weekend we had. We decorated eggs with Olivia on Friday. Saturday we had to go to the church for a 3pm rehearsal and then stay on for the 5 and 6:30 service. Olivia was so good she was happy and content, she is such a content and happy baby, we truly are blessed!! Then on Sunday we had to be at the church by 8 a.m. and do 3 services, 8:30, 10, and 11:30. Again Olivia was so good she napped a bit and ate in between services and then was so peaceful and content on stage. Vincent came for the last service so he could spend the rest of Easter with us.

The cardboard confessions was such an amazing experience. Towards the end of the service different people went on stage with a cardboard sign with 1 message on the front then another on the back, ours was on the front "Doctors said we'd never get pregnant" then on the back "Dr. Jesus said Yes!!" So I walk on and they read the first side then I flip it over and as they read the other side Angel walked out holding Olivia. It was such an emotional experience I cried every time, just to hear people rejoice and praise God when we flipped our sign and Angel walked on stage with our little miracle baby. It was so amazing we have been praying for a long time, well since we found out we were pregnant, that we would have an opportunity to share our story and give God the glory and this was just that opportunity. It was a blessing and so great to have so many people come congratulating us and so happy for us. Our hope is that God was glorified and that all will see all things are possible through Christ Jesus!

So after church Olivia and I were spent. I was tired so was she so we napped for about 3 hours and then we gave Olivia her Easter basket. We got her a stuffed bunny and a little chick that chirps and some bubbles and a book of the real Easter story. So fun! We gave Vince a little chocolate bunny and I gave Angel some game cards and chocolates and dinosaurs that grow in water, something fun for him to do with Olivia. Then it was on to the egg hunt. Angel hid the 6 eggs we decorated and so we searched and found those. I think we had more fun than she did but it was so exciting to start family traditions with our daughter it's something we've dreamed and talk about for a long time. So it was a busy but fun weekend which ended with a ham dinner and relaxing evening.

In other news and updates Olivia is doing great. She now weighs 12lbs 6 oz. She is 24 inches long and is so fun and amazing. She smiles lots and is starting to laugh more and more. She loves to suck her hands and loves her toy Ellie the elephant. She is sleeping like a dream, knock on wood that she continues, she sleeps 10 to 11 hours a night. She was getting up around 4 every so often but 1 night I got up and instead of picking her up and feeding her etc. I just gave her her suckie and patted her a bit ans she fell back to sleep so now she seems to stay settled throughout the night. I still hear her the odd time around 5 and do the suckie thing and back to sleep she goes. We moved her out of her bassinet into her big girl crib, now we moved the crib into our room but still she is in the crib:) I think next weekend we will be moving the crib back into her room and Mommy will just have to deal with it! Although I am getting better as I no longer sit in the back seat of the car when we drive as a family and so baby steps on the bus but the hope is to have in her room next weekend and then for Angel and I to finally go out on a date on our own within the next couple weeks. I never thought I would be like this but it is so hard to not have her in our room and to think of someone else looking after her, but I'm getting there:)

She also naps really well, now we were having her nap in our arms because it's the only way she got a long nap but I finally tried the cradle swing and it's amazing!! She falls asleep in there in about 5 min and sleep for anywhere between 45 min and 3 hours, it's awesome!! Some days are better than others with the naps but in general she's doing great.

It's hard to believe she is already 3 months old!! It has flown by so quickly and we just feel so blessed everyday that God has given us such an amazing gift to take care of and love. I still haven't figured out how to post videos so Angel will show me that soon and I will post some fun videos we've been taking. I posted some pictures, hope you enjoy!! Until next time....
