Father's Day and Other Fun Stuff

Well I am finally all caught up with blog entries...YAY!! I promise I will try to do better and keep weekly updates thus avoiding 50+ pictures being posted with each entry:)

Father's Day was awesome!! It was so exciting and just such a special day that Angel has waited for for so so long. We had planned a full day of fun but unfortunately Olivia had been a little under the weather with her teething, including vomiting and the poops:), so we thought we wouldn't stray too far away from home and try to go to places that had a change table near by!! We started out at Shari's for breakfast and then home for 1 of our favorite family naps:) For the evening we all got dressed up and went to Anthony's for dinner!! Now we don't go there often but Sunday's they have all you can eat crab which is one of Angel's favorites so I thought it would be a special treat for Father's Day!! So Angel had crab and I had steak and Olivia....well she didn't eat but she looked beautiful and everyone kept coming up to us telling us how cute she was and how she was keeping everyone entertained!! At 1point she pulled her bow down over her face and we thought that was pretty funny:) Angel then opened his present which I was so excited about because Olivia and I made it for him. It was a mug with a bunch of pictures of the 2 of them scrap booked on it!! He loved it!! He takes it everywhere with him. I bought him a card which he loved and we just enjoyed the rest of our evening including a special chocolate lava type cake they cook fresh when you order it!! YUM!

Angel is such an amazing Dad he has been so helpful and takes such good care of his daughter. He is such a blessing to both of us! God is so good and I will never know why but am so thankful that he gave me such an amazing man who loves me and who I love so so much, and such a beautiful daughter who just blesses our lives beyond anything we ever could have hoped for!!

Olivia loves books!! I take her on Monday's to the library for story and song time which she really enjoys, she watches all the other kids and really smiles and laughs during the songs and dance time. While we are there I get her books to read for bedtime. So as part of our bedtime routine Angel and I, unless he's working then it's just me, read to her. Angel bought her a Bible story book about 2 months ago and every night he reads the next story from the Bible, it is so amazing to see those 2 cuddled up together head to head reading God's word!! Then Angel tells her about God and Jesus and I just sit and watch with tears in my eyes!! So incredible to see this amazing man I love reading the word of God to our amazing gift from God!! It's 1 of my favorite parts of the day.

Olivia has been trying to sit up!! She practises and does ok so far. She sits for a bit and then tumbles over. Lots of fun to watch. I put the boppy around her so she doesn't hurt herself when she tumbles plus it supports her while she tries to learn. She also started eating carrots!! She wasn't sure the first time we gave them to her whether she was gonna like them but now she loves them and eats a whole container at one sitting. I tried giving her half a container but she makes this little high pitched squeal and fusses until I give her more so more she gets!! Next we are gonna try sweet potatoes and then some fruit. It's fun feeding her and she does really well even though alot end up on her face and bib!!

So I think that pretty much brings you up to date, she's growing so big and in 2 weeks she's be 6 months old!! I can't believe how fast time is flying. She is such a joy and a good happy baby and we love her so so much!! Angel and I are doing great, he's working alot but we see him as often as we can even if it means visiting him at work. I am almost done with my bible study at the church but we have planned a bunch of fun get together with our bible study group and the kids so that will be fun over the summer and then I hope to take the next study in the fall. Olivia just loves going out and being social and smiles and laughs at everybody so I try to get her out as much as possible even if it's just a walk to the park or around the mall!!

I have posted a bunch of pictures and hope you enjoy them and please remember Mommy is crazy so there is lots of pictures of Olivia in her outfits and bows which I love to dress her up in!!

She is so cute! I love all those pictures with the wide open mouth. When I pulled up your blog just now, Luke stopped bouncing in his jumper and stared at Olivia's picture. He must have recognized his friend. :)
