Well here we are at 7 Months!! Olivia is doing so great! She is eating everything she can now. She seems to really love the vegetables especially sweet potatoes and squash. She will eat fruit and loves pears but veggies seem to be the favorite. She is eating second stage foods now and also is starting to eat puffs, those little flavored puff treats that dissolve in your mouth, and she likes them. It was funny because of course at this age she puts everything in her mouth so I would put these puffs on her tray and she would pick them up but never put them in her mouth!! Silly girl, so if we put it in her mouth she will eat them guess we need to work on her getting them in there herself!
On July 28th she started sitting up all on her own without assistance and without falling over, well only the occasional tumble:) We went to small group and Kameron, Kayla and Lucas were all there sitting so we sat her down and I sat behind her as I always do to prevent tumbling over, and it was like she looked around and saw all the other kids sitting up and so she just sat up and stayed sitting up!!! Too funny I could just imagine her in her mind saying "well if they can sit up then i will too!"
She is still sleeping great, knock on wood, goes to bed around 8:30-9 then sleeps till 8-9 in the morning and she naps 2-3 times a day anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 1/2 hours so we have no complaints in the sleeping department, except she loves to play with her crib bumpers. A few times I have gone in to check on our sleeping beauty and found her under the bumpers, or holding it down over her head. When I come in in the morning she is often peeking at me from behind them, so cute!! Olivia has a mini crib and the bumpers are for a full size crib so that may be the problem and we are gonna look at getting ones that fit proper and see if that is better for her.
Olivia loves playing as I am sure most babies do, but she loves looking at the baby in the mirror which of course is her!! She kisses the baby and tries to hug the baby and just loves looking at the baby, so fun. She also loves to play with other kids. We are in small group with Kameron and Lucas so she sees them every week and loves playing with them and watching what they do, she also hangs out with Luke alot when Kim and I get together and last week we got to go out and visit Jackson and Jaden, twins of my friend Rachel, who are 2 1/2 and she has so much fun watching them run around and play!!
Olivia is getting more teeth!! She already has her bottom 2 in front in and seems to now be working on the top ones, she is biting like crazy, drooling like a champ and her nose and eyes are running alot, poor baby!! Hope we skip the throwing up and poops this time around.
This past weekend was so great!! Olivia and I went to Uncle Vincent's BBQ for communities support services which support Vince and it was so fun, he danced with her and introduced her to all his friends and she just loves her Uncle Vince!! She is always watching him and smiling at him and when he kisses her or she goes to kiss him she makes this really silly face because of his beard, tried to catch it on camera but didn't get it this time. So we sent to the BBQ and ate some food and Vince got her a balloon animal and then he was gone awhile and when he came back he had made her a door hanger for her bedroom door! It was awesome with bananas on it to represent the Philippines and a palm tree for Florida where Angel used to live and it has pink sparkles on it with her initials!! It was so awesome but the best part was when he came back with it for he he was covered in sparkles from his fingers to his elbow and had glued a couple of his fingers together!! So cute!! We love him so much and really is so great about loving Olivia and being involved with her. He calls a couple times a week and asks about her and he is always trying to plan get togethers so he can see her, awesome Uncle is Uncle Vince!!!
Saturday night we got to go to our other small group with Auntie Cheryl and Uncle Jeff and Auntie Dana and Uncle Todd!! It was so good to see them and Olivia just had so much fun with everyone playing with her!! We really are blessed to have such good people around us who love Olivia the way they do!!
Well I still can't believe our little girl is growing so fast.....7 months...crazy!! She is doing so great and growing so big and doing so many amazing things. We just feel so blessed and amazed everyday that God has given her to us and we find so much joy in watching her play, seeing her smile and hearing her laugh!!! We just can't praise God enough for all he has done for us, not just this beautiful little girl to love but my wonderful amazing husband who works so hard and takes such good care of us, awesome friends to surround us and love us as family, our home, our church and our health we truly are blessed and as I said just can't Thank God and praise Him enough for all he has done and is doing in our lives!!!
