Olivia has been an amazingly healthy girl since birth. I mean sure she has had some colds and a couple of ear infections but overall pretty healthy. She has, however, always had some issues with her eyes. They water alot and when she was born she had a problem with her tear ducts being blocked so since the eye watering seems to keep getting worse we had her seen by an eye doctor and they suggested we have her tear ducts unblocked. Now this requires surgery which of course we are not too happy about but if it helps her it is of course better to deal with it now than later when it could develop into something more serious.
So on July 28, 2010 we had to take our sweet girl to day surgery. She was so cute in her gown and really big slippers and although we were really nervous and hated her going into the operating room without us, she kept us smiling and we just prayed together as a family and then let the nurse take her. We went into the waiting room and about 15 minutes later they came to get us. She was a bit upset because she wanted to come to me but the nurse had to hold her till I sat down in the recovery chair to hold her so as soon as I sat down she came into my arms and she was totally fine!! She was smiling and talking and she drank the juice they gave her and was saying "Thank You" and just being her sweet self. About a half hour later we were allowed to take her home. She slept on and off the rest for that day but she was totally fine. Next day she was back to normal and is doing just great!! Thanks to all our wonderful friends and family who were praying for her and sending us best wishes....we love you!!
