Well This entry should bring us up to date and then we can go from here:) Olivia has experienced a few firsts in the past couple of weeks. She had her first big girl bath in the big bath tub, she tried to eat food for the first time, and her first tooth popped out this past Thursday!! It's getting so fun and exciting that she is getting bigger and doing so many more things but it's also a little sad cause I would like to keep her little forever:) Ah well that's just life.
So Olivia was still being given baths in her little tub until I realized she is just getting too big and more of her was out of the water than in! So we got a thing to support her in the big tub and gave her her first big girl bath and she loved it!! She smiled and played with her duckies, Angel got in there with her which was so funny and cute. She learned to splashy splash, as we call it, and kick her feet around and seems to really like the water which is awesome!!
At Olivia's 4 month doctor's apt. he suggested we could try feeding her some rice cereal to see how she liked it and to get her used to starting to eat. So one day when Angel was home we got everything ready and gave her her first taste of food. The rice cereal was a big hit! She seemed to like it and got used to the motions of eating fairly quickly. Of course she got covered in food and we let her try the spoon herself and such so she could have the whole experience, it was alot of fun and now she eats some cereal everyday and we will soon be trying the other food like veggies and fruits, we'll see how it goes. I think it will be interesting to see what kinds of foods she likes and dislikes!!
Finally Olivia has been teething for what seems like months!! She started the week before Mother's day with some symptoms and different behaviors that suggested she was teething. She has been drooling and biting everything she could get her hands on, she was a little fussier at times than she normally is and we were seeing white bumps on her gums so we thought oh we'll see a tooth soon. Well nothing came and nothing came but on and off she seemed to have these symptoms then last week she had bad diarrhea and was vomiting a little, took her to Dr. Bloom and he said it might be a virus or it could be the teething, so we did what we could to make her feel better, the natural teething tablets are awesome, and she got over that and Angel and I never got it so I put it up to teething and then finally on Thursday the 25th she grabbed my finger and put it in her mouth to chew, as per usual, and I felt something rough and looked and her first tooth was just starting to pop up!! Yeah finally!! Well now her nose is running like crazy and she gets this dry cough on and off but she doesn't seem congested so maybe that's just the ongoing teething battle who knows:)
Earlier this month we had another birthing class reunion. This time it was a BBQ and it was alot of fun!! All the babies are getting so big and it's so cute to see all the differences in babies that are all around the same age!! We had all girls born to the couples in our class except for 1, Mr. Logan is our only boy so he was pretty popular!! We took some cute pictures of them on the floor in a circle and the did a recreation of our couch photo from the first reunion and it was so fun because all the babies were crying except for Olivia and Lily. Now Lily is the oldest she's 6 months and so if you look all the babies are in tears and Olivia is looking around like "what is the big deal??".
On June 15th Angel had a birthday and since it's his first birthday with Olivia we wanted to have fun! On Sunday the 14th we set Angel up with his favorite snack and drinks and let him have the whole afternoon and evening to play his WOW game on the computer. Then on his actual birthday we went to all you can eat sushi and he loved that, we did presents and had cake and just enjoyed the afternoon together. Then Angel did Olivia's bedtime routine, which he loves doing, and just ended the day relaxing together!! Good day!
Now Mommy is crazy, as you all know, but I have started this thing where I take a picture of her in her outfits every time we dress her up, even if it's just to go to the grocery store, remember Mommy's crazy!! So I have lots of pictures of her dressed up in cute outfits so i will add those in with the pictures!! Hope you enjoy!
I will do a blog mid-week to let you know about Angel's first Father's day and how things are going with the teething and how her first real foods are doing!!
We love you all so much and Thank you for being interested and loving our beautiful little girl, she is such a blessing and everyday I still am amazed at how awesome God is and keep asking what did we do to have such an amazing little girl to get to love everyday?!
