October was a Big Month!!!

Well October was a crazy month!! So busy and alot of activities going on! Trying to do all the fun seasonal things with Olivia as well as get ready for our new arrival. So here is how our month looked...

Oct. 10th - Decorated the house for Halloween, Olivia put on her Halloween activity outfit and we decorated the house for Halloween, She is so excited this year and really likes to help with everything. We let her put up the window clings and left them wherever she put them upside down and all:) Angle has alot of fun doing the outside with the spider webs and stuff while Mommy did the candles and took pictures:)

Oct. 25th - Went to the Pumpkin Patch, which technically is a corner of a parking lot with hay spread all over and rides and games set up. They have a little petting Zoo which Olivia loved and was so good with all the animals. She wasn't afraid of anything and fed them and petted them and just seems to really love animals. One of the chickens reached up and bit her finger and she just looked at him and me with this puzzled look on her face but didn't cry or anything so Angel got it away from her and she just kept putting up her finger and saying Owie. The skin wasn't broken but we put a band aid on it and for the next 2 weeks all we heard about was "chicken bite, owie" too cute.

Oct. 26th - Carved Pumpkins, we carved a little pumpkin for Olivia which is Mommy's job and Daddy carves the big pumpkin. Olivia also had a second pumpkin which we let her color. She did not like the pumpkin guts and kept making a funny face and saying ewwww. After they were done she loves looking at them lit up.

Oct. 27th - Made some Halloween crafts, last year I had Olivia do some sticker and color pictures to put up as part of our decorations so I thought we would do the same this year and so she did some sticker and colored and I put the year on all of them so each year she can add to her collection!

Oct. 30th - Made Our Halloween Cake, another tradition is we always have a Halloween cake so Olivia loves to mix and stir and add things to the bowl, so we baked our chocolate cake and put white icing on it and then Olivia put on the sprinkles!! She just dumped one container on all in one place but she had so much fun and then started putting her fingers in the cake. We then all had a piece and she had fun and really enjoyed her cake.

Oct. 31st - Halloween!!! Olivia wads Minnie Mouse for Halloween and she just loved being dressed up!! We let her see herself in the mirror and she was so excited and surprised and kept saying mimi, mimi:) We decided to go to a local church trunk or treat event for Halloween this year and it was awesome. They had pony rides and lots of games for the kids, and all the prizes were candy:) So we had Olivia take a pony ride, then to the little area they had set up as a petting zoo, then off to the games where Olivia had so much fun and got some candy for her trick or treat bag. Then we went by Mama and Papa's house to let them see her outfit and then home to bed:)

Now in between all these fun things we also baked some cookies, had some fun in the big bath tub, and played with lots of fun toys!!

Olivia got her first flower from Daddy this month, it was so sweet, daddy came home from work with a bouquet of roses for me and 1 single red rose for Olivia. When he handed it to her her eyes got all big and she was so excited. She gave him a big hug and a kiss and said thank you and then she wanted to hold the flower. So I took it out of the package and made sure there were no thorns and then let her hold it. She just walked around holding it and smelling it and kept smiling and giving Daddy kisses. So Cute, finally I got it from her and put it in some water but everyday she had to smell it and hold it for a little while, she loved her first flower from Daddy!!

We are trying to get Olivia ready for the baby's arrival. We borrowed some library books about being a big sister and when baby comes home, and we also got her a doll to teach her how to hold the baby and be gentle with the baby. She is doing really well and is so excited. She keeps kissing my tummy and saying "baby". I think she will be a great big sister!!!

There are alot of pictures for this month...hope you enjoy them:)
