Outings and Fun Family Time!!!

Well here we are almost at the end of September and I still haven't blogged about August yet......but here I am to get on top of August so I do not get behind like before!!

In August we did quite a few fun things as a family. We went a few times to the water park at Cornwall Park here in Bellingham and they LOVE it!! We have also spent a lot of time in the pool here in our complex. My kids are definitely water babies and love anything to do with swimming or playing in water, including their showers and baths!!! Malaya will get on his stomach and "swim" in like 2 inches or water and he loves it!!

On August 15th we went to the fair in Lynden which both kids really enjoyed. We went after Angel was done work so we got there around 4:30. We immediately went to see the cows and Malaya just LOVED them. He definitely is an animal lover. After the cows we went to the kiddie ride area and the 2 of them went on the carousel with Daddy, the car ride with Mommy, the balloon ride with Daddy and the Olivia went on a helicopter ride all by herself. They really liked the rides and then they went and each played a game. They did the fishing game and Olivia won a blow up hammer and Malaya won a little stuffed dog. We decided it was time to eat some horrible fattening fair food, so we went and got fries, sausage in a bun and deep fried veggies, well they are a vegetable right so that's healthy :) Then we all went to do a potty break and change the boy. The concert that was playing that night was Chris Tomlin, and amazing christian artist and although we didn't go with the 2 little ones we could hear it as we walked to go see more of the animals and it was awesome to hear BOTH of the kids singing, "our God is greater, Our God is stronger, God you are higher than any other...." Brings a tear to my eye and a smile in my heart to know they truly LOVE Jesus!!!

So we went to see the horses and goats and pigs and Malaya went NUTS!! He was snorting at the pig and baaing at the goats he just loves it and would get real close and touch them, the boy has no fear, it was great to see and know this about him so we can nurture that in him as he gets older. After the animals we thought it was time to start heading toward the front gate knowing a last ride on the carousel was a must and that funnel cake and mini donuts would be calling our name so Mommy took them on a final carousel ride and then we sat in the building and ate some more junk, that was sooooo good. After the Carousel ride we saw a girl selling fairy wands that lit up and played music, well that had Olivia's name written all over it and then Angel thought is was a great idea to buy Malaya a sword that lights up, awesome a weapon to whack his sister with, great!!! Anyway so we started walking to the front gate all lit up and glowing, and of course we saw cow boy hats and just had to try them on the kids, Angel is a Filipino red neck at heart, and they were so cute but we resisted the urge and headed home.

What an awesome day as a family, I feel so blessed I get to have days like that not only with the love of my life but with the 2 most amazing kids I have ever know and am so blessed to get to love!! I hope our kids always want to do family days like that with us....they mean so much to us.....and we thank our Father in Heaven for allowing us to have them.

On August 25th we went to Canada to celebrate my our nephew Lincoln's 1st Birthday, they had it at the park so there was a BBQ and some fun games and then cupcakes. The kids had so much fun and it was so awesome to watch them all play together. We got there and said our hellos and then the food was ready so we sat and ate. After that the games began and they did a water transfer game for the little kids, now Malaya was too little to do it so he stood between the 2 teams and when they said, :"go" he ran right down the middle of the 2 teams yelling, "go go go" and kept doing it throughout the game!!! It was so cute. After each game everyone got a prize to put in their goodie bags and so by the end we had a good collection of fun things but the best was the water guns, those they loved and used on each other us and anyone else they could get wet!! Finally it was time for happy birthday and cupcakes, it was so cute to watch Lincoln try to eat his and the faces he made.....overall awesome day and so much fun!!

I have included some pictures of our outings and fair trip, hope you enjoy them and thank you for reading up on our family and all the things we do, we admit we love to brag about our kids and are just thankful there are people out there who want to listen and love them right along side us!!
